In the last year Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity, realizing the need in our community, has made veteran housing, both homeownership and home repair opportunities, a priority in our service area. Our home repair program is geared primarily to assist low-income veteran homeowners or homeowners with a veteran in a household with home repairs, ranging from small to major exterior and interior projects. Our homeownership program is targeted to low -income families interested in owning their own home. Specifically our homeownership program is setting aside homes in each of our developments for veteran homeowners and the goal is to have 20% of all new home is occupied by veterans and their families.
Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity strives revised safe, decent and affordable housing for families in need the peers County. We are able to do this through the generous donation of time and talent from our volunteers. If you are a veteran you know your interest in the volunteering we would love to have you out on the build site to see and share in the work that we do.
